NIH-syndrome

Not Invented Here (NIH) syndrome is a business term that describes a phenomenon wherein an organisation or business distrusts or disfavours a technology or innovation that does not originate within the own organisation.

NIH-syndrome may be both irrational (based on cognitive biases or xenophobia) as well as rational (being vary of dependence on outside input or worrying about IP infringement)
